If you saw last Friday's post, then you saw that Benson recently had his first birthday.  Which also happened to be his golden birthday because he turned 1 on May 1st.  So instead of doing a low key party that consisted of cake, ice cream, and close family members for Benson's first birthday party, I decided that I needed to upgrade a little bit and do a themed party that consisted of friends and family, dinner, decorations, and a whole lots of treats.  But being the frugal person that I am, I didn't want to break the bank on this party.  So as I've done with all my kids' themed birthday parties, I set a budget, re-used the resources I had that went with the theme, got a little crafty (more of that coming up NEXT Tuesday) and then raided then went to my favorite store on raid their dollar aisles and clearance end caps.

Luckily for me, the Party Animal theme I had chosen to do for Benson's first birthday party is apparently an assigned theme for some of Target's party decor, so I was able to find a ton of decorations and paper goods for an amazing deal!  To see everything I got for Benson's first birthday party, how much I spent, and how much I saved, watch my video below!
