15 Amazing Cardboard Box Crafts for Kids Including the Best Cardboard Box Rocket Ship by mommy blogger Michelle of Mumsy

My kids love doing cardboard box crafts.  So when we ordered our Tuft and Needle Mattress and it showed up on our doorstep in a HUGE cardboard box, they instantly started thinking of some cardboard box crafts that they could do.

After thinking it over, we all thought it would be fun to turn our Tuft and Needle cardboard box into a rocket ship!  This cardboard box craft was super easy to make, didn't require a lot of time to assemble, and could be made with craft supplies we all have lying around our homes.

Here's how we made it.

Cardboard Box Rocket Ship

What you need:

Two large cardboard boxes
Note-If you don't already have some large cardboard boxes on hand, you can go to any local store that sale large furniture and/or appliances and ask if they have any large cardboard boxes that they are going to toss out.

Pencil

Duct Tape

Box Cutter

Markers

Aluminum Foil

What you do:

1) Cut off the flaps on the top end of your box

2) Completely open the flaps on the bottom end of your box.  These will act as the supports to keep it from easily tipping over.

3) Outline and cut out a door and a few windows.

4) Decorate the box with your markers.

5)  Make a roof for your rocket ship

6) Using your duct tape, cover your rocket ship in aluminum foil.  We only covered the top of our rocket ship with foil.

7) Make some fun props out of your cardboard board box scraps to go with your rocket ship.  Isaac decided to make a computer, walkie-talkie, and solar system map with ours.

8) Enjoy.

But, if a rocket ship isn't your cardboard box crafts idea, here are 14 other amazing cardboard box crafts you'll love!
