Life can get a little chaotic for us moms.  Especially when we're busy.  Sometimes there never seems to be enough time in the day for us to accomplish everything we need to; and by the end of the day we often find ourselves exhausted and stressed to the max.  Sound familiar?

When I first became a mom, this was totally me.  But over the years, I have learned how to save time through some very simple tips and tricks.  Of course, I definitely still have those days when I feel as if I'm running around like a chicken with her head cut off and that I got absolutely nothing accomplished.  But when I practice the tips I've learned on how to save time, those days have become few and far between.

So, if you too want to make your life less chaotic and your family more organized, here are eleven amazing ways on how to save time...and your sanity.

1) Go grocery shopping once a week and shop at a place that offers pick-up service.

One of my favorite places to shop is Sam's Club because I can save money by purchasing items in bulk and can save time by opting to use their amazing pick-up program!  Instead of doing a dreaded shopping trip with all my kids that I know, without a doubt, will take way too much time and end with at least two of my four kids crying, I can order my groceries on the Sam's Club website, schedule the day/time I want to pick up my items, and then go and quickly pick them up at their pick-up location.  It's seriously a dream come true to all us mamas out there that hate grocery shopping!

I recently tried using the Sam's Club pick-up program for the very first time this week and it was so easy to do! The night before I normally go grocery shopping, I got online and selected all the items I needed, selected my pick up time for the very next day, and then picked up my groceries on my way to dropping Emi off at preschool.  The whole process was a breeze and will definitely be how I buy my groceries from here on out!

(P.S. Did you know that if you sign up for any Sam's Club Membership, you'll receive a $10 gift card?!  So cool! Click HERE to learn more!)

2) Eat leftovers.
Not only does this help save money, but it also saves you a lot of time you would normally spend in the kitchen making dinner.

3) Prepare the night before.
Instead of scrambling to get you and your kids out the door each morning, do as much prep for the next day's tasks, the night before.  That way you don't waste time frantically looking for things as you are trying to leave.

4) Take advantage of your apps.
There are a lot of incredible time saving apps out there.  But one of my favorites is the notes app.  I love to make daily "To-Do" lists on there so I be more organized.

5) Don't be afraid to say, "No".
We are all so overbooked these days.  So if you feel like you have too much on your plate, decide what things are most important for you and your family to be doing and don't be afraid to say, "no" to doing everything else.

6) Wear a watch.
This may sound silly but I have found that on the days I choose to wear a watch I am way more on top of things and get tons more done.  Probably because I am able to easily look at the time and plan accordingly instead of constantly loosing track of time and having to frantically play catch up.

7) Say, "Bye bye!" to time wasters.
We all have and do things that waste our precious time.  By spending a moment to figure out what things are holding you up in life and eliminating them, you'll save a ton of time and sanity!

8) Get rid of the clutter.
By keeping your home organized and mostly clean (seriously, do we really ever have an all the way clean home with kids?!  Ha ha!), everything has a place and you most often times know where everything is so you don't have to loose your mind and waste time looking for something you need in the moment.

9) Do all your cleaning one day a week.
Monday is cleaning day for me.  I spend that entire day doing laundry, cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, weeding etc.  So that I have the rest of the week to focus on accomplishing and doing other things that I need/want to do.

10) Stay positive!
Having a positive mind set gives you the ability to believe in yourself.  And when you believe in yourself, you really can achieve anything you put your mind to doing.

11) Take timeout for yourself.
Burnout is unavoidable when you're a mom.  So make to spend some time each day doing something just for you. Whether it be streaming netflix, taking a 20 minute power nap, reading a book or whatever it may be, by spending time on yourself, you are able to reboot yourself so that you can effectively get through the rest of your day.

Keep up the good work mamas!
