National School choice week: choosing the best school for your children

The other day I got an e-mail from our school district announcing it was time to consider school transfers for those of us who were interested.  Which was something I had been considering for a while because I just feel like Isaac has been getting what he needs from the school he currently attends.  And with Emi starting Kindergarten this Autumn, I feel that as the parent, it is my job to make sure my littles can get the very best education possible.

Luckily for me, I have my education degree and a couple years of teaching under my belt to help assist me in the educational decision I now make as a parent for my littles.  But often times I have a friend of mine that doesn't even know where to begin when it comes to helping their children get the best possible education they can.  Which is why I'm so excited about National School Choice Week!

Have you heard about it?  If you have kids that are or are just about old enough to start going to school, then you should definitely look in to it!  For those of you wondering what National School Choice Week even is, let me share a few details with you.

National School Choice Week or NSCW is an event that was specifically designed to shine a spotlight on the many different educational options that are available (i.e. public schools, charter schools, online academies, etc.) and inform families on why it is so important to be aware what each and every option is and what it can offer their children.  And, with more than 20,000 events that will take place nationwide, National School Choice Week will be the largest and one of the best education events out there.  Giving parents the opportunity to be schooled on the various schooling systems and to connect with other like-minded parents and caregivers.
