essential products for working mom

Anyone else feel like Monday sort of kicked their butts?  Because I sure did!  Dave has clients in from overseas for work this entire week.  Which means he leaves before the littles wake up and gets home way after they have gone to bed.  Though these kind of work weeks are few and far in between when it comes to Dave's job, they leave me completely exhausted by the time they are over and in complete awe of all you mamas out there who raise your littles on your own for much longer than just a week.  Seriously!  I have huge respect for you!

And with that being said, I am really excited about today's guest post by fellow mom Annabelle Short. Because it's all about the best products busy moms and working moms should have on hand at all times.

Something I know I, and I'm sure a few of you mums, could desperately use!

Top Top 10 Items For Busy Moms

Let’s face it, as busy moms, there are some products that we would just die without. There are products that help to make our lives more organized, keep our children happy and content, and help us take care of those we love. Here's a list of the top 10 items that every busy mom should have.

1. Magic Erasers
There’s nothing worse than walking in on your toddler while he or she is creating a lovely Picasso masterpiece or designing an artwork on your dining room wall. Magic Erasers are the absolute best way to get rid of any and all marks on your walls. Scrub gently though, because they are abrasive, which is why they work so well.

2. Decorative Baskets
Decorative baskets are an absolute lifesaver for a busy mom. Baskets are great to place all over your house – next to the couch, on book shelves, by the front door. They’re a stylish way to stash random items that would otherwise make your home look cluttered – everything from office supplies, to toys, to bathroom toiletries. They’re also a life saver when you have visitors drop in unannounced– throw the clutter in the basket, cover with a folded throw blanket, and you’re done!

3. Crock pot
Sometimes it’s all you can do to just make it through the day in one piece. Having to make dinner on one of those days might just push you over the edge. Crock pots are super handy because you can just throw in a few ingredients in the morning, and by dinner time, you’ve got a delicious, healthy meal that only took minutes to prepare.

4. Hand Weights
Getting to the gym with children is not easy. Whether you’re juggling working while raising children, or you’re a stay-at-home mom, exercise is never convenient. But it can boost our moods, our metabolisms, and our overall health. Pick up a couple of hand weights for resistance and fit in your exercise when you can. Stream a Youtube exercise video, or follow a workout routine from Pinterest. Hand weights are the perfect piece of workout equipment for busy moms who are short on free time.

5. Hand Sanitizer
It’s no fun having sick kids, and it’s even worse when one kid spreads sickness throughout your whole family. You never know when you’re going to come across germs, so keep a travel size bottle of hand sanitizer in your purse so it’s easily accessible. Clean your child’s hands after he or she touches the shopping cart, leaves the playground, or spends time around other kids. You’ll be so glad you did!

6. Ezpz Mats
There’s nothing more frustrating than sitting down to a delicious meal that I spent precious time making, just to have my toddler pick up the bowl of food, and chuck it onto the floor (which I also just cleaned!). Ezpz mats will save your life. They are placemats with built-in bowls and plates that suction onto any surface. You’ll be able to serve your toddler food, without them being able to hurl the dish across the room. Your kitchen floor will thank you!

7. Mason Jars
Purchasing junk food and easy–to-grab items may be convenient, but it doesn’t help your kids grow up healthy and strong. Mason jars are a great way to store anything and everything. Make salads ahead of time for the grown-ups, or prepare make-ahead oatmeal for a healthy breakfast. Mason jars are the best way to bring convenience to healthy, homemade foods.

8. Daily Shower Cleaner
Cleaning the shower is a task that is never done as frequently as it should be. A great time saver for busy moms is to use a daily shower cleaner. Just mist your shower after each use and your shower will stay clean with minimal effort!

9. White Noise Machine
Every mom knows naptime is the best time to get things done. But if you are too noisy with your tasks, your child will wake up prematurely, and that’s never good for either of you. Get a white noise machine to add some background noise. Your child will sleep better, and you’ll be able to get more accomplished without worrying about every little sound.

10. $1 Store Plastic Containers
Moms need organization. If things get disorganized, it costs us time. Pick up some baskets at the dollar store to organize everything from your kids bathroom cupboard, to your pantry, to your junk drawer. Keep everything in its place so you can function at your best.

Anyone else have all of these items on their current grocery list?  Because I sure do!  Whether you are a busy stay-at-home mom, or working mom, or something in between I hope you slay this week and come out victorious!  Ha ha!  But for reals though!
