Life these days consist of endless piles of laundry and raising my sweet littles.  So, when it came time for me to start thinking of some cute family picture ideas I instantly thought that taking them at a retro laundry mat would be absolutely perfect; and so fitting for the stage of life my little family is currently in.  And luckily, our amazing photographer Roxana was just as excited about this family picture idea.  Which made the experience even that much more fun!

I love adding pops of color to our family pics.  And I thought this blanket and my vintage jewel bracelet would do just the trick!

I can't get enough of this face Zachary is making or his little camper shirt!

The tulle skirt I wore was huge!  But I just couldn't resist!  I'm such a sucker for any brightly colored, fluffy skirt that exists!

When I asked Emi what she wanted to wear for our pictures she said, "My twirly yellow one!"  I got this dress for her from Wren and James and she's obsessed with it!

This layering duo from Made by Mary is my favorite thing to wear.  Especially the "mama" necklace!

Of course, I was little worried that there would be too many people at the laundry mat, actually doing their laundry, that would make it too hard for us to go in a take a few pictures.  But luckily, there were only a small handful of people there who all nicely smiled at us and did their best to stay out of our way.  We definitely took up a lot of space.  Ha ha!  And, a few of the people even said how cute the kids looked and that this was such a cute family picture idea!

Aside from a few tiny meltdowns (I had totally spaced feeding the kids dinner before we left to do our family pictures.  UGH!) we all had so much fun with this family picture idea.  Making this little shoot one that I'll treasure and remember for the rest of my life!

Have you taken your family pictures yet?  If so, I'd love to hear what you did.  Because I'd love some ideas for our family pictures next year!  But, if you haven't taken your pictures yet, and are looking for some ideas, here is a small collection of ideas that I currently have.

  1. Hahaha, I know exactly what you mean - I feel like I've been scrubbing poo out of clothes all night! And I only have ONE little, so I can't imagine how much laundry four could produce!

These might just be the cutest family photos I've ever seen (for realsies, cuz the laundromat thing just gets me), and I adore your skirt!!! And your daughter's outfit is just adorbs.... I hope that dress comes in chunky toddler sizes! :D
