10 Amazing DIY Advent Calendars for You and Your Family

I have always loved advent calendars. But, now that i have kids i love them even more. Mostly because I love to see how excited each of my kids gets to see what the daily surprise will be, which is usually a hershey's kiss or some m&ms. Either way, my kids love it. Simplicity and all. And that's why I love it, because it reminds me that even the simple things in life can be exciting. It all just depends on how we look at it.
Currently, we are using a wooden store bought advent calendar that I searched high and low for until I found the perfect one; but, i'm starting to lean toward the idea of making one each year.
What are your thoughts on this?
