We've been going crazy here on the blog with all the Thanksgiving fun that we haven't talked much about beauty in a while. So today we have the lovely Raquel, who happens to be an amazing stylist, guest posting for us on the hair trends going on now and into winter. These styles are sure to help you freshen up your look and get a fun change going into the new year. Happy Thanksgiving lovelies!

My name is Raquel. I've been a professional hairstylist for over seven years. The number one thing I hear the most from my clients is how they want to change their hair to something new and exciting! As a stylist, I believe it is important to keep up on the latest hair fashion. I constantly attend educational hair shows and classes so I can offer my clients the most up-to-date styles with the newest techniques. Here are some of the newest trends shown on my clients.

Top 5 Hairstyles for Winter

1. Copper Tones:
Yes, there is a difference between a beautiful rich copper tone and a brassy color you get left with when you bleach your own hair. Try adding some warmth to your blondes by toning them down for fall.

2. Long Bob
Out with the long locks and into the new mid length blunt cuts. Don't worry about adding too many layers, the new one-length medium and short haircuts are the best way to change up your look to something new and fresh.

3. Pastels
This is a color my boss and I did together. Think pastel colors are only for spring? Think again! For those wanting a bold but softer look, light pastel colors such as purple, blue and pink are some of the most popular colors right now. The more subtle the better!

4. Sombre
Sombre is another word for a softer ombre, or melt. Try darkening your roots with an ash base, or keep your natural dark roots while adding some very subtle warm lowlights. Perfect for brunettes!

5. Refreshed Ends
Let's not forget how the frigid cold air will completely dry out your ends this winter. Come in and try the new Split End Treatment (made by Brazilian Blowout). This treatment, new to the market, is heat activated and helps seal your cuticle down to prevent split ends up to 4 weeks!
