It's November already! Can you believe it? I'm slightly baffled to be honest. Where did October go? And what concerns me more is how crazy the holidays get. This time of the year is crazy for most everyone. But, what I think is really neat is all of you who try to make this time of year about gratitude and selflessness. Many of you participate in gratitude challenges posting what you're grateful for each day this month. And I know many of you do extra service, sing carols at nursing homes, drop off secret Santa gifts, and so much more.
While this time of year does get crazy busy it is also a year with lots of emphasized good, and I love that. So when my amazing friend, Melanie, asked us to participate in this challenge she helped organize, I was thrilled. This year to start off this holiday season I am so excited to do the "Give With Thanks" challenge.

What is the "Give With Thanks" challenge?

It is a wonderful way for your family to serve and track those you are helping. The emphasis is in serving to express gratitude for our lives.

Some really amazing people have teamed up to bring this challenge to you. More details and the FREE download are available on The Small Seed Blog.

Each FREE "packet which contains:
  • Instructions for this month’s challenge

  • 4 themed mini-lessons to do with friends or family that help you get in the mood to serve each week
  • Service ideas that coincide with the service theme for the week
  • Beautiful prints to hang and help you remember the service challenge this month (thank you Melanie and Tosha!)
  • Recipes to make, enjoy, and share as you serve (thanks Oh So Delicioso!)
  • A gorgeous tree print (which we recommend printing in large format) to hang in your home, with leaves to print, cut out and hang as you complete acts of service. This can be a great activity activity for children to do, and color and write in their service to fill up their “giving tree” with leaves as a visual representation of the service they are doing (thank you Melanie!)"
It's kinda like an early Christmas present that came early, right? Lessons to do with your family every week, recipes, service ideas, and a FREE tree print. I am really grateful to those who contributed to this project and shared their talents and to do this challenge. And with all these resources it couldn't be easier to make a difference this holiday season.
My children loved setting up this tree and talking about helping others and I am so excited to share my experiences throughout the month. And we would love to hear if you participate too! Send your stories to and I will share your stories of service and making a difference in others lives. I just love this and hope you do too.
Happy Tuesday to you all!
