DIY Vinegar Cleaner

Have you ever seen "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"? You know how Tula's Dad loves Windex & thinks it can cure anything? Well, it's a running joke in my family that I'm a lot like that silly old Greek man. Only my obsession is vinegar. If I ever need something cleaned, or food doesn't taste right, or there's sink that just won't go away; vinegar never let's me down! All jokes aside I have some great uses for it!

-This my go to vinegar spray "recipe", I guess you could call it!
 2 cups of vinegar
1 1/2 tsp of Dawn dish soap
 1 cup of HOT water

This will clean almost anything in your house. The only things I would stay away from are things with coated surfaces. (Like Teflon pans.)

Any buildup you might have, especially around plumbing fixtures can be wiped away after soaking a paper towel or rag & letting it sit for 10 minutes.

If you're cleaning something with burnt on buildup, like an oven or range, just sprinkle on some baking soda before you spray on the vinegar solution. It will sizzle & bubble, but it won't damage the surface you're cleaning. The bubbling effect will just lift it off so you can wipe it away!

I like my vinegar solution because it's safe for little ones to touch & is mostly natural. You aren't adding any new chemicals to your families environment that aren't already there! Win, win. Right?

I would love to know if any of you have found any other uses for my magical spray! Don't hesitate to leave a comment at the bottom of you do! Have a wonderful CLEAN Thursday Mumsies!

  1. Thanks for the recipe. I cleaned windows with vinegar and water as a child and I have never found anything better!

  2. I know right? I feel better about using it too because I know what's in it & I know it won't harm my family!
