Rainbow Pop Rice Krispie Treats

Every Monday night, David and I have what we call Family Time with our chickies.  Basically, its about an hour long period of time where we teach our children a basic life principle like how to apologize, the importance of serving others, etc.  After the lesson there is usually some sort of activity/game and then we end with some sort of treat that is sometimes healthy, and sometimes, not so healthy.  But hey, moderation in all things...right?!

Yesterday for our Family Time treat, I decided to go the not so healthy route and whip up a batch of my chickies favorite sweet, Ooey Gooey Rice Krispies Treats.   However, instead of making a normal batch, I decided to add a little pizzazz with some pop rocks and rainbow sprinkles.  Boy, were these a hit!  My kids literally had astronomical atomic melt-downs when I told them they could only have one.  But hey, at least now I know that I can use these as a bribe for future tasks that my little ones absolutely refuse to do.

So, if you are wanting to add a fun twist to you own Rice Krispie recipe, or are still looking for the perfect one, these Rainbow Blast Rice Krispie Treats are SCREAMING your name.

Bon Appetit!
