I LOVE Halloween.  It is by far, my favorite holiday.  If you are like me, then I bet you begin planning your Halloween decor way in advance; and, by the time October 1st arrives, your nest is decorated from the inside out.

But, for those of you who may be a little behind, it's never too late.  I have an easy and cost effective outdoor decoration that only takes minutes to assemble and is made up of things you can easily find around your house.

Happy Decorating!

DIY Garbage Bag Ghosts

* Tall white garbage bags

* Small plastic grocery bags, leaves, or newspaper

* Permanent black marker

* Single hole punch

* String

1. Take one of your garbage bags and the bottom of it with just enough of your stuffing material (I used small plastic grocery bags) that you can form the shape of a head for your ghost.

2.   Cut a piece of string just long enough to tie off the base of your ghost head and keep your stuffing in place.

3. Using your permanent marker, draw a face on your ghost.

4.  With your hole punch place a hole in the top center part of your ghost head.

5.  Next, cut off a long piece of string and loop/tie off one end through the whole that punched with your hold puncher.  Then, go outside and, using the long piece of string attached on the head of your ghost, hang your ghost(s) anywhere in your yard.  Personally, I like to hang my ghosts from the branches of the large tree that is rooted directly next to the sidewalk that leads up to my front door.  I just love the way they sway in the Autumn breeze and add just the right amount of spookiness to my nest.
